On behalf of the WSV, the Executive Committee invites bids from potential hosts for the WSV International Symposium in 2027. Bidders must submit their proposals before midnight (Indian Standard Time) on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

The World Society of Victimology (WSV), a distinguished not-for-profit, non-governmental organization holding Special Category consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Council of Europe, is proud to extend an invitation to prospective hosts for the 19th WSV Symposium.

About WSV
The WSV’s mission is to advance victimological research and practices globally, fostering interdisciplinary and comparative work and research in the field while promoting collaboration among international, national, regional, and local agencies and other groups addressing victim-related issues.

Call for Bids
On behalf of the WSV, the Executive Committee invites bids from potential hosts for the WSV International Symposium in 2027. Bidders must submit their proposals before midnight (Indian Standard Time) on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Bid Evaluation After the submission deadline, the WSV Executive Committee will convene its meeting to evaluate and determine eligible bidders.
In the second stage, the WSV Executive Committee will gather during the 2024 Symposium in Gandhinagar, India, to deliberate on the bids. It is expected that a decision will be announced during the closing session of the symposium unless exceptional circumstances necessitate further information from short-listed bidders. Bidders will also have the opportunity to make presentations about their proposals.
The successful bidder will be required to provide annual progress reports. The specifics of these meetings will be negotiated but must include a venue, site visits, and refreshments & lunch during the meeting, typically conducted on a weekend and lasting no more than two days.
